Leave the city centre along St. Dunstan's Street or St. Stephen's Road,
and follow the signs for the University. (See local press for programme
details).
THEATRES:
The Marlowe Theatre, The Friars, Canterbury (C2). The Box Office
is open Monday to Saturday, 10.00-20.00, and on Sundays 2 hours before
curtain up when there is a performance. Tel: (01227) 787787. A wide range
of entertainment is offered including opera, ballet, plays, musicals,
comedy and pantomimes. Disabled access.
Gulbenkian Theatre, The University of Kent, Giles Lane. Tel: 769075.
Leave Canterbury along St. Dunstan's Street, or St. Stephen's Road and
follow the signs for the University. Box Office open Monday and Friday
10.30-17.30, Tuesday-Thursday 10.30-19.30. Drama, Dance, Film and the
Annual University Opera. Cafe-Bar. Disabled access is provided, but patrons
using wheelchairs must have able-bodied escorts. There is a frequent bus
service from the city.
MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT VENUES:
Canterbury Choral Society. Enjoy an evening with the acclaimed
Canterbury Choral Society. Concert performances are held throughout the
year in the Cathedral. Tickets from Canterbury Bookings Ltd. Tel: 455600.
