BROADMOOR LANE HOUSING PLAN.
The Council Planning Committee decided at it's last meeting on 21st June to give local people a further month to comment on Redcliffe Homes controversial plans to build on green fields at Broadmoor Lane in Weston.
Over 200 people have already written to object to the plans which are being considered before an application by local residents to register part of the site as a 'village green' has been decided.
The Planning Committee meets again to make it's decision on Wednesday 19th July.

Mrs Leslie Crowther will be attending the launch of A Weston Miscellany at All Saints Church Centre on 10th December at 10.30am.

The Weston Village Townswomen's Guild are to finally publish their long-awaited A Weston Miscellany. The book should be available in the shops at the beginning of December. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to a breast cancer research.

The Weston Local History Society will be holding a launch party for Weston Village Journal at 7.30pm on Monday 14th December 1998 in the Parish Hall. All are welcome to take this opportunity to buy the book at 20% discount.

Weston Village Journal by the Weston Local History Society will be published on Monday 7th December 1998. The book is packed with fascinating articles and 37 photographs, some never before published. Weston Village Journal will be available from several shops in the village, from Waterstones in Bath, and all other good bookshops, price £5.99. More info.
