THE ERIC MORECAMBE MEMORIAL STATUE: located on the Promenade, roughly equidistant between Euston Road and Skipton Road.

HAPPY MOUNT PARK: Marine Road East (K1). Tel: 582808. The ideal place for a day out for the whole family. With miniature railway, model village, Punch and Judy, glassblowing demonstrations, attractive gardens, bowls, tennis courts and much more. There are Brass Band Concerts every Sunday afternoon between May and August. Refreshments available.

STONE JETTY: Promenade (F2). Recently restored and stretching out into the bay, the Stone Jetty has pavement games, sculptures, a baffling maze and a huge compass to plot your position. The award-winning Tern Project reflects the birdlife of Morecambe Bay, which is a very important breeding ground for thousands of birds.

ST. PATRICK’S CHAPEL: Off Main Street, Heysham (C7). The ruins of the chapel and the adjacent rock-cut graves date from about the 8th century, and are set in beautiful National Trust land.
